Happy Christmas and Merry New Year

Well Christmas and New Year's have come and gone. Thank goodness. What a crazy month or 2 it has been for our family.
We did the same thing we do every year for Christmas. Go to the town party, dinner at my mom's on Christmas Eve, Christmas Breakfast and dinner at my house. This year my mom did the prime rib and I did the turkey. It was the first time I've ever cooked a turkey and I must admit it turned out pretty good. It was a little dry but not too bad.
Christmas Eve we also did the usual cheeseball, crackers and Pepsi for Santa. And we made some reindeer food to put on the lawn for the reindeer, obviously.
We sent the kids to bed and Mike passed out on the couch. He had gone to work at 8:15 pm on the 23rd and got home at 1:00 pm on Christmas Eve. So guess who got to put all the presents out. Finally at about 11 we went to bed. This was the first year I wasn't up all night excited like a little kid. I must have been tired. At 4:50 Jercie came in our room  to let us know that Santa had made it to our house. We woke Kaia up and by the time I got my parents called Blaze was awake too. We opened stockings while we waited for Grammy and Papa to get here. Then we opened some presents when they still hadn't shown. Right as we were about to open Santa presents they showed up. The kids got all kinds of fun stuff. Jercie didn't get everything on her list, but there were some things that I asked Santa not to bring. He did a good job with the stuff he did bring though. She got a DSi an Easy Bake Oven and a Pop Art Pixie water bottle. Blaze got everything on his list that he asked for. He got Lego Star Wars Lego Atlantis and an iPod shuffle. Kaia only asked for a Jessie, but she got that and a puppy with vet supplies, and a Toy Story hut. The hut was probably the best thing she could have gotten. She falls asleep in it every night.
I didn't get very many good pictures. My camera charger is still missing and I had to borrow my mom's camera that I'm not very familiar with. I can't find my card reader so no pictures for you!
For New Year's we were lame and hung out at home with the kiddos and watched Toy Story 3 and Shrek Forever After. Jercie was the only kid that made it to midnight. Blaze lasted til about 11:30 and decided he was tired and headed to bed. Kaia fell asleep on Mike's lap at about 10:30. Mother Goose made it and left Jercie some measuring cups and spoons and a little pet shop lady bug. Kaia got a Buzz Lightyear and Blaze got a Paper Jamz guitar.
All in all we had a great holiday! I hope everybody else did too.
