Up with the SSH

For some reason that I haven't quite figured out yet I put Jercie in mini cheerleading. It was for this week only thank heavens. They had practice everyday after school and then got to cheer with the cheerleaders at the girl's basketball game last night and perform at half time. Here are some pictures and videos of the event.

Fun with the cricut

Mike bought me a cricut the other day. I love it. I made a couple file folder games for the kids to take to church. Hopefully it will keep them quiet during sacrament meeting. I also made this really cute quote for the girls' room. I found it somewhere on the internet and had to put it on the walls.

It says, "In the cookies of life sisters are the chocolate chips." Also don't mind the nasty looking ceiling. I just discovered that we have a leaky roof and Mike isn't home to fix it. He won't be happy when he gets home from work at about 1:00 in the morning.

I also made this cute blanket out of old receiving blankets from Kaia. I made it for Jercie's baby doll. It turned out pretty cute I think. I got the idea and the tutorial from here. Thanks Ang :)

I decided to go with the Lamour fabric for the girls' bedding. It was the second one on my previous post. I was leaning more toward that one anyway. I'm excited to get started on it. Hopefully soon their room will be done and I can get started on Blaze's.

Towel Hooks

I was getting tired of washing every single towel I have twice a week. Or having my towel stolen. So I made these cute little hooks for the kids towels so they don't have to use a new one every time they shower. I just had some hooks left over from my Christmas decorating and mod podged some cute paper on them. I'm pretty impressed with them.

Pictures Galore

So I finally just gave in and bought a new card reader. So here is the picture story of our lives since November.

Kaia loves to play the wii fit. If you step off for even a second she is on it.

It was really warm for the first part of November so we spent a lot of time outside.

Magnet letters I made for Kaden's Christmas present

Magnet letters for Jaylee

Jercie turned 7 and got a new bike.

We found Jercie's old rocking horse and Kaia loves it

Kaia found her way to the shelves around the top of her and Jercie's room

Kaia wearing Dad's Halloween mask. She loves to be scared!

Jercie's birthday cake. She wanted cheesecake.

Kaia also loves to wear daddy's hats

Blaze cracked his head on something. Not really too surprising.

Blaze found Kaia's snow hat and put it on.

Church

In staying with our family resolutions we went to church today. Because the mine put Mike on weekend days he wasn't able to come with me. Hopefully after 6 months he will be able to. The kids were all so good during sacrament meeting. Kaia is a little loud mouth and made friends with the lady and her kids behind us. She was telling everybody all about Elmo. Since she is 18 months now she got to go to nursery. She did so good. I was kind of surprised at how well she did when I dropped her off. She went right in and found a baby doll. I sneaked out while she was content and distracted.

I also started a new class. I am now in the Temple prep class. I will probably take it again when Mike is able to go with me since there's no such thing as too much info. And I will probably miss something important the first time around anyway. I am excited about it though, it should be a good experience.

Jercie has a little meeting on Saturday about baptism. I think it will be good for her since she has been pretty wishy washy about the whole baptism thing. I would really like the missionaries to come teach her before she makes any decisions anyway, just to make sure she does what is right for her.

Blaze is just happy to be there. He is doing much better with his volume control. As long as I keep his mouth full of snacks he can't talk right? Just kidding. He really does really good considering what a nut job he is at home.

My card reader is still broken but I am going to my mom's tomorrow and burning what pictures I have to a disc. I will do a post loaded with pictures just because I know how much you want to see my cute kids :).

Jorgensen Family Goals for 2010

So for family home evening we sat down and did our family goals.

Spiritual
Strive to go to church every week. Say nightly family prayers.

Physical
Go on walks 4 times a week (when it warms up, it's too stinkin' cold now)

Family
Spend more time together and do more family activities

Attitude
Work hard to get along with each other and not fight so much

We also each did individual goals. You have seen mine, but I added a couple more. Hopefully by this time next year I will be able to say we completed each of these goals.

I forgot to mention earlier that since January 1st Kaia has been off the binky. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. She did go a few days taking shorter naps but as of yesterday she is back to her 2 1/2 to 3 hour naps. I'm so proud of her and how well she has accepted the change! Way to go Kaia!!
