4-Wheelin'

We went for our first family 4-wheeler ride  the other day. I hope it's just the first of many. It was so fun. All the kids had a blast. I took Kaia with me, Jercie and Blaze and Mike were on their own. Kaia likes to go down hills. She didn't want to get off. She kept saying, "I ride!" Blaze and Mike went out on their own earlier in the day and Blaze hit a rut and rolled his bike. Luckily he was wearing his helmet and chest protector. He's also pretty tough. He got right back up and brushed himself off and was back on the wheeler ready to ride. The kids have also learned to get themselves out when they get stuck. It makes our lives a little easier that's for sure ;)

Playing with Stompers

I think I may have the craziest husband ever! He took the advice of a slightly less crazy friend and decided to play monster tuck with his Chevy.
Let's start this adventure at the beginning. He had an old station wagon and a chevy cavalier that he used to drive to work. He got them lined up out back side by side. He asked my dad if he could borrow the bobcat. When he went to get it the fan broke on the hydrolic transmission. In the middle of the busiest intersection in town. Luckily I was outside and could see that he was broke down. I went down and watched the bobcat while he went and got a chain. I then had to tow him home. I hate towing. Hate it! At one point I had to pull almost all the way into the neighbor's driveway to get Mike out of the middle of the road. After about 15-20 minutes I finally got him in front of the house. You should know I only had to tow him half a block lol.
Anyway, once he got the belt fixed on the bobcat he went and dug holes for the cars and ramps for him to drive up on.
At about 6:30 the show began. We had my parents, Sharon, our friend Steve and of course me and the kids. Jercie and Blaze got to ride with Mike. After he was on top I could here Jercie yelling "Get me out of here, I'm too young to die!" And Blaze "Yeah we don't wanna die!" Goofy kids.
Here's the video. Enjoy the show!!

And some pictures...

Of course Steve had to join in the fun

Skating

For FHE Monday we decided to go to the roller skating rink in Elsinore. The kids have been with my mom before but Mike and I hadn't been yet. We invited Steve and Bobbie and their kids and Blaze's friend Braydon. I would dare say it was the best FHE ever.
Kaia skating. She did really good on the carpet with out holding anybody's hand.

Yes that is Mike skating. He only went around once. He said it hurt his shins and his back. He must be getting old.
There was a disco ball that had Kaia entranced.
Jercie tries really hard. She had just fallen down.
Blaze prefers the scooters. Good thing, he falls down just walking.

I went around a couple times. I had to help Jercie a couple times. Of course there aren't any pictures of me. Dangit ;)

Yesterday was a pretty nice day so we spent the afternoon outside. There was a little nip in the air though so I got cold pretty quick. I got some pics of the kids playing though.

Look there's Krush

Pay no attention to the messy face. She just got done eating an entire bag of yum yums :)

And now I gotta go play GI Joe!

You might be wondering...

...what the heck happened to me. It seems like it's been forever since I posted some thing on here. Not a whole lot has been going on. Jercie went to a birthday party this afternoon. Blaze woke up puking and Kaia woke up with a 102 fever at like 5:30 this morning. It's has since gone away, but she remains kind of whiney. Hopefully it passes.

Mike went to Alamo early yesterday morning because he needed to get a couple tools from his dad for a job he was doing. He called me at like 7:30 and asked if I wanted a golden retriever pup. I really didn't care either way. He said he would go look at him and decide then. Needless to say he brought the dog home. Mike renamed him Krush. So far he is a pretty good dog. He is already potty trained, but I think he must still need to adjust to our house. I have to force him out the door and he freaks anytime a car goes by. Not a good thing since we live on the busiest street in Joseph (that's not saying much though).

Kaia got a hold of my phone the other day and dunked it in a glass of water. Several times. I hurried and took the battery out and stuck it in a bowl of rice. I used my handy dandy stand by google and found out that vacuuming out the water helps dry the phone a little faster. It seemed to work okay. I can't end a call now though and it flashes on and off. Oh and I can't turn my phone off. Oh well, I guess it's better than the alternative. I should be able to get a new phone in September so I think I can last until then.

I made Kaia a super cute tutu. You may have seen it over on my craft blog. I didn't put a picture of Kaia wearing it though so I thought I would put it here instead. She likes to put it on and fluff it a couple times and then she wants it off. She is talking so much now. It makes both Mike and I sad. We just aren't ready for her to grow up yet. A few of my favorite things she says are, "I love you" "Move Kola"  "Here you go" "I want one". The way she says I love you is too funny. I will try to get it on video and post it.

Here are some sweet random pics. Don't mind my awesome hair. I was doing a project with the kids and they wanted to take pictures. How can you refuse those cute little faces?
