We were in line at the self checkout forever and there was a huge line behind us. I hate when people have to wait on me so I hurried as fast as I could to get all our stuff scanned and bagged. I got the kids all loaded in the car and all their loot. I took the basket to the cart barn and saw a girl I went to high school with. I got in the car and headed to KFC to grab some dinner. I got to KFC and realized that my purse wasn't in the passenger seat. I went back to Walmart to see if it was still in the cart. No such luck. I unloaded the kids and rushed into the store. I talked to the customer service people and asked if they had seen an ugly green purse with a pink flower on it. Nope they hadn't, so I asked the cashier at the self checkout if she had seen it. Nope so I asked the cart guy. Guess what, nope he hadn't either.
I called Mike in tears. I lost my purse and can't find it anywhere. He told me to call the credit card company and cancel the card and he would call the cops just in case somebody stole it.
While I was on the phone with the card company the cop showed up and so did Mike. I told them both what had happened. The officer was really nice but didn't think we would have much luck recovering my purse. Mike decided to run in and check with the store one more time before we left. Just as the cop was getting ready to leave here comes Mike, ugly green purse in hand. He talked to the one person I hadn't thought about asking. The greeter. Duh!
So since I canceled the card and it was Saturday night I was SOL on using it until Tuesday when I could get a new one. I went to the bank Tuesday morning and their card system was down. Bank wide. Sucks to be me right? Right. By Friday it still wasn't up. So I have been cardless for over a week. It's a sad day for sure when I can't shop online... Luckily Mike let me borrow his card to buy these super cute shoes that were only on sale for 2 days :)
I'm hoping when I go to town tomorrow to get groceries their card thing will be back online and I can get a card and get all my automatic payments set back up. What a pain in the neck. Seriously!
