Since the last post Jercie started 3rd grade and Blaze started 1st. So far they are loving it. We had parent teacher conferences and as usual we got good reports. I'm guessing they get their genius from their dad because I'm really not that smart. He's brilliant though, he was smart enough to marry me! Mike made a deal with Jercie that if she passed off her timed math facts he would get her an iPod touch. So far she's passed addition subtraction and multiplication. She just has her division to do.
I turned 31 in September. I can't even remember what we did. Oh that's right I went to church and then we just hung out the rest of the day. I took the kids in my nursery class some cupcakes for snack. It turns out that that was my last day in nursery as well. I also started writing a young adult novel. I've only got a chapter or 2 done. I'm hoping that by putting this out there I will be held accountable for finishing it. So ask me about it other wise it will sit unfinished for years. Mike and I went to Vegas in October for the 48 hours festival. There were a bunch of really amazing bands. We had a blast. We were watching Korn when a crowd surfer came crashing down on my head. Mike punched the guy and let him fall. Another guy there asked why he punched him Mike said, "He made my wife cry." The other guy told him he would take care of it and then let the crowd surfer fall again. Since then my neck has been jacked up. I've been going to the chiropractor for it. I'm still deciding if I like it. For the record I wasn't crying because I was hurt and I wasn't really crying it was just the shock of being hit out of nowhere. I'm not a pansy!
Kaia is probably one of the funniest kids I know. She says and does the most random things. She has impeccable timing too. She is so much like her dad it's scary. She started dance in September with my old dance studio. She has so much fun while she's there but getting her there is an adventure. She gets to have her very first recital at Christmas Tree Lane in December. I'm so excited. I got to see her costume, it's adorable! I can't wait to see her in it.
Jercie turned 9 today! Can you believe it? It just doesn't seem like 9 years ago. She was so tiny. She invited 2 of her friends over. We had pizza and went to the high school's play Cinderella. I was impressed with how well they did considering how crazy they were in the truck on the way over.
Blaze is just as awesome and laid back as always. It makes me laugh just how chill he is. You never really know what's going on with him. Whenever I ask he just tells me he doesn't want to talk about it. Even if it's just hey B how was your day. He could have had the best day ever and he would tell me he doesn't want to talk about it. What a goofy sucker. He didn't want to go see Cinderella so he got to hang out it Papa Clint. They played the wii and had an awesome snack. He wouldn't tell me what it was. Go figure.
Since I got rid of my Facebook page I will probably be blogging more. Lucky you!
