Well...

All dressed up in their Easter clothes

There's really not a whole lot going on here. The weather finally warmed up enough for us to go outside and enjoy it. About time if you ask me! Kaia is an outside kid that's for sure. All of them are really. We went to the park yesterday and had a picnic lunch and played. Kaia just went up and down the stairs. She wouldn't go down the slides or through the little tube, but she didn't want to leave either. She did swing for a few minutes. She loves to swing!! Jercie and Blaze did a little of everything at the park. They ask everyday if we can go. I don't see the point since we basically have everything the park has in our backyard.

I lost my camera charger so I don't have very good pictures to post but I will post what I've got with my phone.
I guess I will go ahead and give you a little update about everybody here.

Tonia: That would be me! I have just been trying to get the craft blog where I want it to be and trying to think of new projects to post there. I have a few in mind I just have to get the motivation and stuff I need to do them. I've also been reading alot. Not that that's anything new. I have been reading a lot of Nicholas Sparks lately. I LOVE his books.

Mike started the long wall move on Wednesday. He's on the day shift so he's home every night by 5 but has to leave every morning by 5. He will work at least 30 days straight. It's kinda sucky, but the overtime money is nice :). We are also trying to start our first garden. Mike is supposed to till it today when he gets home and I guess we will plant it tomorrow.

Jercie: I took Jercie to the dentist last week and she freaked out. She was fine all the way there and in the waiting room. As soon as we got back in the exam room she had a complete come apart. So after some gas the numbing gel and an hour we left having done nothing to her teeth. I talked to a friend of mine that works in a different dentist office and they do a ped cocktail. It has demoral, adoral, and phenegren in it. Sometimes they don't have to do the shots to fix cavities. Jercie's appointment is tomorrow. Hopefully she does well and we can get them done. I don't want to have to sedate her. :( She is also reading like a champ. She loves Junie B Jones and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. She went to a birthday party on Friday and the dad told me she was "Spunky". I guess that kind of fits.

Blaze: I took Blaze to the dentist as well. He did so good. He had to have a baby root canal. They just had to scrape the pulp out of  the tooth and cap it. They did have to give him a ton of shots, but he was very brave and didn't cry once! I was so proud of him. He turns 5 in less than a month and I find myself wondering where the time has gone! He is a mouthy little sucker too! His new thing is telling me "blah blah blah" everytime I ask him to do something. He got his mouth slapped yesterday and hasn't done it since. He will graduate from preschool next month. I got all the paper work to register him for Kindergarten I just have to take him to get his immunizations and to the eye doctor and he will be set to go.

Kaia: This child is growing way faster than I want to allow! She is talking like no other. She says no when she means yes. If you ask her how anything is she says "good". She loves "gooks" (books) and "canny" (candy). She thinks it's hilarious when anybody farts and has to announce it to the world. She is starting to like to dress herself too. If I try to help her put something on she will take it off and start all over again. She is super independent. She love to have neigh neigh rides around the house and you can't stop until she says so. Like I said she loves to be outside and swing on the swing set.

In other news, I have to take Krush to Cove Fort tonight so he can go live in Salt Lake. He's going to a family that has a golden retriever that has cancer and they want another one. We don't have a fenced yard to keep a big dog in so we decided to give them Krush. He's a really good dog and I can't really complain about him. He doesn't like Mike though so that causes some other problems :). At least I know he's going to a family that will love him and take care of him. We will miss him though.

So I guess that's it til next time.

Spring Break Adventures (AKA the longest post ever)

Mike works weekends. It's really hard to go anywhere and hang out as a family on this shift. So since Spring Break started Thursday we decided to take the kids out of school a day early and go to Nevada. We left Tuesday right after Jercie got home from school.

Kaia trying to get her seat belt on

We got to Alamo that night and spent the night at Mike's parents' house. We (our family + Mike's parents, Emma, Elli, and Ryan)  headed to Vegas at about 9:00 so we could make it to see this movie...

I was a little worried that Blaze would get motion sick since it was 3D so I slipped him some Dramamine beforehand. He did fine and actually sat through the whole movie without falling asleep. Both he and Jercie did really good during the movie, it was Kaia that didn't want to behave. Mike took her out to the lobby and hung out with her. It was such a good movie. I am pretty sure I will own it some day :).
After the movie we headed over to the Mandalay Bay to Shark Reef. We took Jercie back when I was barely pregnant with Blaze. The kids absolutely loved it! Kaia was so excited to see all the fish. I wish I could have gotten pictures of her face! Jercie and Blaze had fun listening to all of the information they had on the fish. I tried to get them to touch the Rays, but they weren't too sure about it.

We did a quick Target run and headed back to Alamo to spend the night. Thursday we just hung out all day and took Gary and Annette's new Big Red out for a ride with all the kids. That sucker is so fun! Some day we might have to get one. We had some lunch and then we were on the road once again. Jercie had been asking me all day if I was going to play an April Fool's joke on her. I kept telling her no. I had however conspired with my mom.
When we got to Joseph we dropped Mike off at home and went down to Grammy's because she had made cookies..out of styrofoam.
Blaze kept saying he wanted to take his home, but Jercie took a big bite of her's...

Luckily Blaze didn't see her reaction and we convinced him to take a bite of his...

Jercie spit her's out on the floor and Blaze kept trying to eat his. I am going to have to get a little trickier I think.

Friday we went to an Easter egg hunt that my sister was doing with her Relay for Life team. I didn't get any pics because 1 My camera battery is dead and I can't find the charger and 2 there weren't very many eggs and the hunt didn't take long. Kaia was the only one that got anything and we just split the candy up amongst the kids. Nobody cried and that's all that matters, plus the money I paid went to a good cause.

Saturday we didn't do anything.

Sunday was Easter. The bunny did a treasure hunt again this year. Again no pictures because of #1 above and it's hard to take pictures when trying to keep track of an almost two year old. lol. I did get pics of them when they found the baskets on the porch with my cell phone though. The bunny kept it simple this year. The girls got some cute dresses and shoes and Blaze got a new shirt. They all got a sand bucket and sand toys for the sand box and some candy.

After we sent Mike off to work we colored Easter eggs.
After egg dying we went down to Grammy's and had lunch. Shantel and Gracie and Rilie came over too. We had ham and salad and baked beans and my mom's homemade rolls. I swear they are the best part of any holiday meal! She also made a jello salad. She and Rilie set up an Easter egg hunt in the backyard for the kids. They had a ton of fun. I didn't get any pictures, but I think my mom did so I will have to steal them from her.

Then we came home and had naps and went back over for leftovers.

It's been a busy week, but so nice to see family and get to hang out!
