Terrible Mommy Moments...

We went to St. George today for Kaia's 9 month check up. We left about 10 minutes early, so I wouldn't be late. Right after we passed the last exit before the canyon, I realized I forgot Kaia's binky AND her blanket. The two most vital pieces of the child's existence. She was fine for a while. I just kept hoping she could last until Cedar as there is no place else to stop for such items. We hit Beaver around the time her morning nap was due to begin. Items needed for this, the binky and blanket, a bottle will not cut it, and she HAS to have a soft fleece like blanket in order to fall asleep. So for about 45 minutes I heard crying mixed with sqealing. AWESOME! We made it to Cedar and went straight to Wal-Mart. Headed directly to the baby section, do not pass go do not collect $200, only to find they don't carry the kind of binkies she uses. Oh well. I got some that were as close to hers as I could find. Got a cheap fleece blanket, and we were on the road again. Kaia was asleep within minutes. I soon realized we weren't going to be there by 11:40 so I called the doctor to let them know we would be late. The receptionist then informed me that if I was later than 10 minutes I would have to reschedule. Crappy deal for me, I better haul some major @$$!! She decided to transfer me to Dr. Smith's receptionist. I again explained that I was going to be late, and she said that was fine to keep on coming. WHEW!!! I was 15 minutes late. And Kaia got to have her appointment. Crisis avoided.

Kaia is a healthy baby. She is 16 lbs 13 oz and 27 3/4 inches. (that's about the size Jercie was at a year!). Her growth has kind of dropped off a little, but that's because she is mobile now.
She is so stinkin' serious though. She won't laugh. She squeals, and when the laugh is about to bubble out she starts crying instead. She is a mama's girl through and through. She loves her daddy, but she prefers her mommy. It's about time I got one that likes me. lol.

Jercie and Blaze LOVE to fight with eachother. They will fight over anything. After about 5 minutes of listening to it in the car I told them that if they didn't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. A few seconds later Blaze turns to Jercie and says, "I love you sissy." If only that attitude would have lasted all day.

Enjoying the Weather

The last couple days here in good ol' Joe Town have been amazing! We've made into the upper 60's, low 70's. I decided to start taking the kids for walks around town. At every corner they take turns choosing which way we go. I love it because it's a different walk everyday. The kids have been enjoying it too. Here are a few pictures of our adventures.

Walking along the canal bank.

Jercie wanted to walk the dog.

Blaze wanted to push the stroller.

Okay, maybe Kaia isn't enjoying the weather!

Headed home

I just thought this one was cute!

Mike and the kids ready for adventure!

I know I haven't posted updates on Alexander for a while now, but I'm not sure if you all read the carepages or if you rely in me for the info. Alexander has been HOME for the last 2 weeks and will stay there as long as things go well, and he gets to 11 lbs. He was about 9.5 last they checked. Once he reaches the 11 lb mark they will be able to do the heart surgery. What a miracle that sweet baby boy has been to our family in the short time he has been with us. Thanks to everyone for your prayers!!!

Drum Roll Please...

Before

During

Fridge

Sink

Stove and Microwave

After!

Well we are done with the kitchen for now. We still have the ceiling and new lighting to do, but that's not crucial at this point.

Last night we made a leprechaun trap for Jercie's homework. We will see tomorrow if it actually works.

Jercie was also in her first play last Wednesday. She played the Mama Bear in Mixed up Fairy Tales. She did such a good job. She only had one line, but... I bought a DVD of the whole thing, so if you want a copy let me know and I will see what I can do.

Bittersweet Symphony

I know I've been blogging alot lately, but so much is going on at the Jorgensen house! Baby Kaia isn't much of a baby anymore. Right now she is halfway in her carseat, rocking back and forth. Here's a little video of it:

Just a few short minutes ago she was doing this:

(hopefully it works)

She can move from the crawling position to sitting now too. I am really going to have to baby prooof now!! Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and now she's mobile!!!! It's a little bittersweet.

Silly...

Every once in a while Mike lets me play with his hair. Today was one of those days. We were going to do like 4 pony tails, then we thought maybe just 2. Once the ponys were in I thought it would be funny to braid them. Here he is with his sweet braids. Just in case you are wondering, he kept them in and is currently at lunch with a couple of friends.

Pay it forward.

I stole this from Leslie. I thought it looked like fun, so here it goes...

Here are the rules to Pay It Forward!

1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me.

2. Winners must post this challenge on their own blog, meaning that you will pay it forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember it’s the spirit and the thought that count!

4. When you receive your gift, blog about it! If you are not one of the first three to comment on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same! It's all about paying it forward.

I am pretty sure I know who will be the first to comment, since I usually only get 3 or 4 comments anyway lol.
