A Mother's Intuition

To every mother reading this post, follow your intuition no matter how silly or crazy your husband thinks you are!! That being said I will now tell you why. On Wednesday evening Jercie and Blaze were outside on the front lawn playing. They were holding hands and spinning around trying to get Blaze airborne I guess. They fell down and Jercie landed on her shoulder. She came in and said her neck hurt. I put ice on it and told her to go lay down. I kept thinking I should take her to the hospital to get her checked out but I ignored the voice. Thursday Mike took a look and said that she was fine and it was probably just bruised. She could barely lift her arm. I told him my insticts were to take her to get her looked at. He told me that it was a waste of time, but we would she how she felt the next day. That would be today. She could still barely lift her arm so we went to the hospital. Turns out she broke her collar bone. I knew I should have listened to my intuition but I didn't and so my baby was in pain for a day and a half. They put her in a figure of 8 and a sling. Poor little kid will have to start kindergarten in a freaking sling!! I feel so bad for her. She was really brave at the hospital though and got lots of prizes from the Dr. and nurses. Other than that things are going good.

  1. I am so sad to hear that Jercie hurt her collar bone. I am sure that she will heel fast. That sucks that she has to start school in a sling, but on the other hand it might be a benefit to her. She will have lots of willing kids to help her and maybe she will meet some new friends! Well I hope the rest of your weekend goes better.
